It feels like the world population on average is just getting dumber, meaner, shittier. Or probably we’ve always been this way, but we didn’t have the internet around to bring all the troglodytes together.

I doubt he’s sad much; that implies a capacity for shame and regret, which a 43-year-old who proudly claims solidarity with a crowd of dumb fanboys couldn’t possibly possess.

I guess marketing is turning it into a generic term for “looks kinda Japanesey”. You can plead and fight it if you want, but to no avail; in the end, you will learn to love 兄貴.

Can I take this moment to say that I thought the Castlevania anime kind of really sucked?

Lol so true I guess I don’t care about this now. Plus it’s just kind of weird anyway, I don’t think anime suits the Clancyverse, with it being basically like American pariotism/war porn and what not... developed by a French-Canadian company... You know I guess it makes about as much sense as anything else after all

Yeah this has always been the case. I mean how can it be otherwise when HR is itself an internal division of the company ostensibly being investigated. The idea has always been fundamentally and obviously stupid and crooked.

I agree, but I feel like like a lot of gaming news is still way too chickenshit to really say what needs to be said. I can almost physically feel many writers are holding back, and many more simply don’t give a fuck and are posting these stories because they get clicks.

Can’t rock the boat too much.

Kotaku’s been losing its edge since its been bleeding great staff over higher-up fuckery for years. This is the result, as I’m sure the bastards intended. The endgame is for Kotaku to become little more than another PR mouthpiece for game publishers and console manufacturers, like most other gaming news outlets.

No.

So... you’re saying it is pretty much simply because you take tactile pleasure in handling the disc. Also it’s not like games disappearing from stores delete themselves from your library. People who care about amassing piles of old games have convenient digital options.

I am deeply confused by the tone of this piece, and also at why I read it in the first place. Is that the point?

It isn’t, you’re right, and this is clearly a product designed to exploit suggestible nostalgic hipsters

Was thinking the exact same thing... I guess someone could wring some fleeting amusement out of this.

jk, soounds fun

I hit a wall near the end of the first game and forgot to return to the game before my skills atrophied. The combat is so well designed but even more punishing than Soulsbornes, to me anyway. I’m scared to try the second one if it steps things up.

I’d probably be considering replaying the essential Bioshock series (1, Minerva’s Den, Infinite, Burial) if I hadn’t already done it last year.

I just double-took three times.

Nailed it
