@Scoutch: Oh, what a vicious cycle of learning. WHEN WILL THE EDUCATION END?

I don't get all the hate for the Mythbusters in here. Sure, they have to truncate the scientific method a bit, but you have to remember that they are primarily a TV show, meaning a large sample size and repeated experiments are simply not feasible, considering time and budget constraints, and that what they produce…
@akumadiavolo: Ah, yeah, much rather have that than any Fiesta, actually.
@jodark: Well, I know they can at least afford 5,000 pounds, or could at one point, since they were given that much in the British car special, which I thought was very good. Slight mechanical mishaps, but nothing major. That's how I like it.
@akumadiavolo: Ahh, I missed the kg. Damn metrics. Well, regardless, less weight is better handling, no matter how you look at it. Although I see why you would prefer your car, now. I figured, at the time, that a 2x advantage in P/W would be enough, but that was with redneck-math. Out of curiosity, what is your car?
@jodark: I wish they'd do more of those sort of things. I don't mind when they have fun, but I'd like to see the lack of elegance directed towards interesting things, like crossing the Channel and such. And I'd like to see a slightly higher budget for some of the challenges, like the boat, so they can at least get…
@akumadiavolo: Do the math. Your car has 11lbs/HP, your mother's has 13.5, and the Fiesta RS2 has about 6 lb/hp. Remember, less is better, meaning this car has a power to weight ratio around 2x as good as yours. The Fiesta RS2, unlike the stock Fiesta, weighs about 1030lbs, according to the M-sport site.
@kaaron1: You say that like it's a bad thing. It's like looking at a rally car and saying "All I see is a Focus."
@RadioFlyerPartDeux: Dibs on Oreo-powered E30
@PotbellyJoe - Somebody Hold My Sa-Prite for a second. OK, watch this...: In Soviet Russia...
@Roberto G.: Speaking of linguistic errors, "And or it's an error from ignorance," and "FREUDE, that in German means joy," aren't particularly stellar examples of English, either.
@pelle_boss: I can see where you're coming from, for sure. I'm an aspiring engineer, so I appreciate all good engineering, regardless of soul. I would just prefer my personal engineering to have soul. My dream car is a classic Porsche 911 SC hardtop. Don't know why, it just strikes a chord with me, which the GT-R…
@pelle_boss: I'm a 911 fan, as well, and I honestly love the GT-R. I have to give massive props to the engineers behind it. Sure, I'd buy a 911 over this, but I'd harbor no illusions of superiority over it. I'd just know that my 911 is a better fit than me than the GT-R. You don't have to hate one car just because…
@Fat Tire: I saw that at a car show, once. It's supposedly owned by someone around here.
@Slave2anMG: Actually, Prius drivers don't typically have the brains to hypermile, and only want the social status. That's why they buy the Prius instead of a Geo Metro.
@Rä¢inG73 - ain't nuthin' but a G73 thang: But in a V6, each piston only makes one explosion per set of strokes, but with a turbine, you don't have to worry about whether or not your engine is undermining the size of your manhood by not having a good explosion to movement ratio, since the turbine is ALWAYS EXPLODING.
@clevemire: Thank you, much appreciated :]
@clevemire: I can't agree more. Sure, it's not 'pretty' and it's not 'cool', styling-wise, but it's a solid car with a solid set of tubes and cylinders and other whirlygigs powering it, and it's something that makes you go "Oh, look, it's a car that isn't ugly, goes fast, and sounds nice, I think I'll pay a bit more…
@smackela: No, No, that's why you get a vintage beetle. You still have to puree them, but the cop would never to think to look in the FRONT of the car for them.
@GåßëÊdwå®d§ - - Half British/Half Colombian Volvo-driving Gluteal Haberdashery.: Aye, but not legally ;] The saturn is at a slight angle, so there's not much space at the front of that spot :P
