I worked at a large electronic retailer, and these things sold like crazy. Well, relatively. Yea we mostly sold laptops in the $500 range but you’d be surprised how many kids walk in with their moms (and moms) credit cards to purchase these things. Mostly Asians, students. 90% alien wares, 10% Asus.
