Well, there’s an alarming percentage of Republican voters who think climate change doesn’t exist, evolution is a hoax, President Obama is a Kenyan/Muslim/Communist, tax cuts for the rich create jobs, and same-sex marriage undermines their marriages, so there’s that.

That just makes me dislike him more. Not only is he exploiting his daughter’s addiction for political gain, but he’s showing that he only does the right thing when it affects him personally. Not really the mark of a leader who cares about all of America’s citizens.

My nieces had the hyphenated last names from their parents. One dropped the first part. The other made up a whole new surname with her husband when they got married. It all works out somehow.

We were going to use my husband’s last name (basically out of laziness as well because that’s what all the schools would assume). But then we couldn’t have kids so it didn’t matter. However I have friends who have done the same and it worked out fine.
