A form of vertical farming is an interesting take on what to do with these buildings. You may be able to get around needing a passenger elevator and get by with just egress stairs. I doubt there is an air conditioning or heat in the glass box, so treating it as a greenhouse sounds feasible vs a bar or multi-family…

building codes require an elevator and 2 stairs. that along with a low floor to floor height and couple of other issues leave very little feasibility for apartments or condos.
