It is disappointing to hear this. They seem to be making the same mistake they made with the CR-Z, completely misjudging the enthusiast attachment to the name, and delivering something completely unfulfilling.
Wood is renewable and biodegradable. Anyone that says a man made material is better for the environment than a natural material is trying to sell you something. Concrete, Steel, Fiber reinforced plastics all create CO2 throughout every step of their processing. Trees absorb CO2 for years before they are processed.
Here we go with yet ANOTHER slanted piece on EVs.
Concrete is more expensive and a ton of emissions result

Multistory garages with rooftop solar.
evs arent even close to being as bad as ice. the only reason this is a problem is because we dont bury our lines like smart people would and that weve half assed the grid since ww2 and done nothing for infrastructure. it only seems like a lot because weve done fuck all for the last fifty years and its way behind.
As a result, makers of concrete, steel, and composite poles are also ramping up their production in anticipation of the increased demand.
Good thing trees are renewable
Perhaps there is a case for increased buried cable infrastructure over wood post. It’s more expensive to develop, to be sure, but far less susceptible to outage and interference.
Not telling because it's not fun if it's busy.
A Model S could do this backwards.
“Picture it; you were born between 1946 and 1964. You’ve pretty easily sailed through life” Tell either of my parents that, asshole.
