Yep, diesel... That’s what 4th gear says. Maybe I should have run my joke through my creative marketing team?

Hmm, and here I thought Add Blue was Ford’s creative marketing team name strategy.

Sounds like he sniffed his own product.

In a world of high beltline cars, this car isn’t afraid to show some midriff and muffin top.

Why do I get the feeling that Hummers answer to light weight technology will be adding a hover mode that adds 3,000lbs to overall curb weight and use more energy, but will drop the running weight down to 8,500lbs?

The Waymo response is so generic yet specific enough that it reads like it was generated by a level 2 autonomous Official Statement generator.

The Sensible font is reminiscent of the Oldsmobile font.

He listed the Isuzu as the last carbonated vehicle in the correction, so technically he could still be right?

The circular eurostyle headlights is such a better look. On the MK2 Golfs the circle headlights make the car look timeless vs. the 80's style rectangles.

Clearly this is an exterior glove box. Not a “front bed”. I’m not sure what the fighting is about.

Symmetrical book stacking. Just like the Philadelphia mass turbulence of 1947.

For the sake of this post that’s good to know! It was an ok early car, but a decent hill on the highway was a challenge.

92 Geo Metro XFI - 3 cylinder, 1 liter engine with a whopping 55hp. I didn’t keep track of MPG back when I was driving it, but it would go forever and at that time you couldn’t put 10 dollars of gas in it if you tried.

This exactly. I really think this car is more about creating positive memories over an enthusiast driving experience. I said the same thing about going with a classic car. I would add a backseat to have more people join the ride.

This sounds like a case of a car generating a life experience over a joy of driving experience. I would go with a classic with a backseat. Something fun that you take some friends along with for the ride like a 1965 Mustang.

I believe these early subsidies led to the start of Renaissance Fairs before Big Turkey moved in with their fancy drumstick money.

SNL and Tesla have a lot in common. SNL has been on Auto-Pilot for a while now. With Musk at the wheel I’m sure it will crash and burn.

7.5 Golf R and 2006 MX-5 owner. I agree with your post, but although the Miata is slower, and more beat up it is way more fun to drive. Don’t get me wrong the Golf is a rocket on rails, but the MX-5 is a street legal open air go-cart. If you could only have one or the other I’d say get the Golf.

I bought a MK7.5 R late in 2019 after seeing the MK8 previews. The looks are a little off, but it was the interior that turned me off. I saw all screens and said, nope. I better get one of the 7.5's before it’s too late.

“flex” is a relative thing. A parking garage or any structure needs to flex or move a little. You’ll feel this on bridges or tall buildings. If the structure is too rigid it will have an immediate point of failure vs. being able to absorb some outside force and move the force along the structure. Too much flex you get
