They got a free brand new jumbo Transit van to drive around in, that's their payment.

Wow, so JD finally caught up to the way the automotive world has been building vehicles for years. all of that mistake-proofing is what is common place at places like the Ford Rouge F-150 Plant.
Those "off-roading" scenes look CG to me. The movement of the chassis vs the suspension just doesn't look natural.
Back up camera is standard BTW. IDK why they even offer reverse parking sensors as an option. I guess it's so you can get the beeps too.
After a little research on the engine Panoz LMP-1 (knowing their road cars used Ford 4.6L DOHC V8s), the only info I could find was that it was equipped with a 90 deg OHC 2V 6.0L V8 that Roush built with Ford parts and further developed by Don Panoz's engine company Elan Products.
And that's why you have to watch out for the ever growing popularity of the Explorer Police Interceptors that are invading the USofA. They are so anonymous due to its soccer Mom history that you can get right up on them an barely notice it's a cop unless you're looking hard, especially if they get the option hubcaps…
Yea, that's about what I get combined in my Kona Blue '12 5.0 6M Brembo too, and I'm not the easiest on it. get about 26-27mpg hwy at 75-80 mph cruising too.
Beautiful. Sounds super smooth, except for a few botched gear changes (possible gearbox issues?).
I believe blocking the roadway is very dangerous and shouldn't be done, but in some cases, like in Nebraska last week where the hail was grapefruit sized, people could be just trying to stay alive as one chunk of ice that big can literally crack your scull open. Here's some pics from a Ford dealer that got hit just…
I think it depends on the weather conditions. I would say P1 all day on a dry track because of its lower weight and home track advantage, but as it does rain a lot in the UK, if the track is soaked, the Porsche's AWD might give it the advantage.
I actually spotted one on Woodward Ave in Royal Oak, MI this past weekend! I almost blue myself.
Why did you have to introduce me to that You Tube Channel of amazing vintage rally vids? The first thing I see on their page is a 38 min video of the Lancia Delta S4 with pure sounds! There goes my whole day!
Ram Charger!
Probably MUCH more LOL. This is probably a $1/2 million prototype, but I can't wait to see these technologies make it into production!
Of course, the car isn't lighter just from some new sheet metal. The wheels are made out of carbon fiber, as are the seats and a lot of interior components. The steel coil springs, the crankshaft, and the stabilizer bars are hollow.
Not too bad considering the bikes are pushing 131mph+ averages!
So now VW is copying Ford since they offered free Go Pros the first 1000 buyers of Focus STs 2 years ago: http://jalopnik.com/5906627/ford-f…
I can answer #4: No. It's a FWD based AWD system that can push up to 50% power to the rear wheels. That being said, I currently drive a 2013 MKZ 2.0L AWD and it handles deep snow and mud like a champ! I drove this thing through 6"+ of unplowed snow on the stock All Season tires and it never had a problem, even on hill…
