Ok. Huh. I’ve always been wary about relying on others to take me places, whether it be a bus, cab or even a friend. It’s hard for me to grasp the concept of taking Uber to work and back every day!

Honest question: Do people commute to work using ride-sharing services? If so, did they use taxis every day before these apps became available?

Would it be accurate to say most people feel that Uber and Lyft fit all situations?

Nothing is black and white, but there are many ways to get around that don’t require a smartphone app. I’ve never used a ride-sharing app, and I still manage to get around. “Don’t go too fast, but I go pretty far.”

I’m not really looking to argue this, but I think it’s odd how the world comes crashing down when

I suspect it’s a common ailment among classic car owners- drumophobia.

Never been there but I’ve heard it’s not fun. These are things one has to consider when choosing a lifestyle, place of employment and residence. How did everyone get to work before Uber?

Well, Miatas only have two seats. I think you couldn’t really get by with anything less than a ‘62 Imperial LeBaron. It is much more practical, as a family car.

What do you mean by the Coelecanth Era? Surely you are not putting down the ‘61 Dodge’s spectacular backward fins.

As marshamallow points out, most people have plans at least an hour in advance, so it would not mess up your schedule to call for a cab before you get ready to leave. And if you just can’t wait, buy a bicycle, I guess? You know, like a normal person who doesn’t have a car? I honestly don’t understand this whole Uber

As the old Land Rover joke goes, 7 out of 10 are still on the road today! The other three made it home.

Yeah, at least it could have some straight cut gear whine or something... something!

Or 60s Lancia

As much as I love Exner-era Chryslers, I have to disagree that DeSoto went out (in 1961) on a styling peak:

Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately, disabling ABP, as well as “allowing” Twitter through Ghostery had no effect. I understand the image rights issue, and it must be tough when a third party service doesn’t make these things work 100% of the time. Anyway, I appreciate it.

Or they could break off a luxury/light duty version like Toyota did with the Land Cruiser Prado in the 80's, and still offer a capable one alongside it.

That’s what I’ve heard!

Southwest gives you two free checked bags. Isn’t that worth a bit more than an extra five peanuts?

Ok, Jalop writers. This has been eating at me.

I know what it is; I just don’t care. This is a racing Mustang, and if you insist on removing the “muscle” description you need to lighten up.
