Stolen?

You know as well as I do how fickle consumers are, and the slightest oddity could send them running from the dealership. So it is not a matter of the usability impact, but the aesthetics, percieved quality and long term annoyances.

I didn’t know Mercury did that!

I don’t know what F1 has to do with any of this.

So they just have really, really tiny wires? I have to imagine that would be super expensive. Also, as far as NA goes, it might actually be illegal for some reason, although I don’t know how to expediently check that against fact.

Yes, because that is a Ford Escape.

Perhaps that’s one reason they didn’t continue to produce that feature?

I’ve noticed Jalopnik doing a lot more “buyers guide” type stuff lately, and increasingly fewer off-the-wall ‘lifestyle’ type posts about The Old Car Life. What is up with this? And, super fun car to drive. I

Thank you for being the first one to post a truly fuel-efficient car in the comments. 30mpg is not fuel efficient. If that’s your car, congrats!

Everybody has their opinions.
