the problem is that yes most of the "story and interactions" are different but the placement of all upgrade material is still in the same place and is just monotonous to collect.

I dont know, I bought Demons on the fact I was looking for a multiplayer fantasy style game with online coop and it delivered in spades. I bought it though at least a year+ past release because I bought a PS3 pretty late.

Dunno to me Financially I think it makes more viable sense to put in the effort. There might be people who JUST buy the DLC to get a sample then decide they want the actual game.

Why buy it when I already beat it. I love exploring the first time but the second time I just want to be able to skip the tedious stuff and get right to it.

All DLC should not need the original disc if the data is still on your system. Just my opinion.
