Yep, that’s the advantage of shadowbanning, for sure. They could be banned forever and never realize it.

If it helps to understand why you came off as a dick, imagine walking up to a group of people having a conversation in real life about speedrunning, and saying the same thing.

Yeah, this is something that I found out about recently, and wish I had known a lot sooner. Great tip.

Same, FFVIII is in my top games of all time, but the gameplay hasn’t aged very well. The magic system is pretty tedious, I don’t have the time to sit there drawing from creatures for an hour every time I encounter a new spell.

Definitely, the touts were all over. But nobody guarding the place, approaching all of the tourists suspiciously.

Weird. I spent a whole week in Kabukicho last year, and never got even a whiff of “Yakuza”, and I’m clearly a tourist. Just seemed like any other entertainment district, with plenty of foreign tourists walking around.

This is totally unnecessary, and I fucking want one.

I’m guessing you formed this opinion back when liquid cooling was a largely DIY affair. Nowadays, you can buy an all-in-one liquid cooling system with easy installation instructions. Just attach the sink like you would any other heatsink, screw in the radiator, and you’re good to go.

Seriously. Just bind the push to talk key to something easily accessible and use it. Nothing is worse than listening to somebody munch loudly on their bag of potato chips or breathing heavily into the mic because they’re too lazy to enable push to talk.

Yep, sufficiently convinced that you’re just another idiot spewing misinformation. Maybe engage your brain before the next time you get in front of the keyboard.

Got my first ever flu shot on the 3rd of this year. So far, I’ve gotten over the flu symptoms I had last week only to get hit with a nasty head cold two days ago. Thankfully, that’s on the mend as well.I’m not convinced that the flu shot is worth all this misery. I did not have this issue last year.

Are you actually implying that the flu shot gave you a head cold?

I think ascribing this to some sort of dislike for Conan O’Brien is overthinking it a bit.

Yes. It is decidedly inconvenient to be watching something with your child when inappropriate content comes on in, at least something that that family deems inappropriate. At the very least, it’s more inconvenient to them than it is to you, so what skin off your back is it?

Wacky shit like this makes me so happy.

Ask yourself a question. Did the speedrunner changing their name from TomatoAnus to TomatoAngus for this single event inconvenience you in the slightest? Did it inconvenience you more than, say, a parent watching the streams for fun with their younger children?

Yeah... even at the time, the combat was really hard to parse.

I think that’s a pretty cynical viewpoint. If there are progressive changes happening, does it matter what the motivation is? Seems kind of like a useless and abstract question. I prefer to ground myself in something I can actually observe: Games are progressing and maturing as a medium, and appealing to a larger and

I usually don’t have time to read the Kotaku features, so I fully expected to browse the first couple of paragraphs and move on.
