You’re either trolling, or the world’s most annoying contrarian.

Just that JRPGs are typically pretty long, slow-moving things and I haven’t had the time to dedicate to one in a while. I do get the itch to play JRPGs sometimes, and I thought FFXV would be what I jumped in on, but it didn’t stick due to horrendous writing. I’m hoping Octopath is good, because it’s so much easier to

I might check out the Bravely series. I can forgive a cliche plot if the writing is really good, but the writing was so bad in FFXV that I couldn’t stomach it.

This is probably going to be the first JRPG in a while that I’m going to try to play all the way through, so I’m hoping the story isn’t too cliché and bland. For reference, I tried to get into FFXV, but the dialog was so cringeworthy and the story was so one note that I couldn’t drag myself through it.

Shame that your “going outside” and “getting interested in something else” didn’t teach you how to interact with people without name calling. If you’re the bar, then I think our kids are doing just fine.

nothing to do with art or creativity.

You denounce that thing publicly, and continue to enjoy it in secret*.

Gotcha. Tim’s definitely weird enough to do something like that on purpose and pull it off, but a health issue makes a lot more sense.

It’s a fair point.

Todd Howard specifically mentioned somebody playing on mobile fighting against somebody playing on the Vive.

This is not a Tenchu game, but it’s heavily inspired by From’s old action series.

I dunno man, I saw the note in the article about naval combat and instantly had flashbacks to Black Flag.

Geralt and Yennefer’s relationship is... complicated. It’s definitely somewhere in between “love” and “just nudity”.

The difference is the writing and storytelling, in my opinion. The side quests in Skyrim are bland, and the writing, overall, isn’t great. The writing is superb in Witcher 3, and the side quests are actually interesting.

I would. Witcher 1 was rough when it came out, and it hasn’t aged well.

it felt like it was trying too hard for me to enjoy the story.

I love RPGs with great combat.

Look, I get that this is a safe space to confess to the world about what popular games you just can’t get in to.

For drinks, I tend to add a buck or so a drink. Especially beer
