It’s always nice to know I’m not the only one who loves riding my bike/Tauros in circles waiting for eggs to hatch.

It’s a little greyer of an area in the newer games, because breeding a perfect Pokémon is actually quite doable. In most cases, I can get a child with the exact IVs, Nature, and Ability I want after about an hour of breeding. Prior to the Destiny Knot trick introduced in X and Y, getting an actually perfect Pokémon

Saving conversation keywords makes me think of Final Fantasy II. I always thought more games should do something like that, it’s a neat way to make the player a little more active in the story.

Notice how much English there is? That’s the one thing Hollywood continually gets wrong. When it tries to recreate Japan, it puts everything in Japanese, which simply isn’t done in reality.

That is clearly The Doctor.

I wouldn’t say ONLY...

You should listen to his podcast then. He’s in-character on the show as “that guy”, and while it’s self-deprecating it can still occasionally be grating. The podcast is just him interviewing one of the experts that he had on a recent episode, and it’s still very informative.

ARMS’s biggest problem right now is Splatoon 2. I love ARMS, it’s a very good game, but Splatoon is a FANTASTIC game, and I just can’t bring myself to pick the former over the latter when I have time free to game.

Mulan came out in 1998, which means that she would have been pushing 90 when she recorded it. And she completely stole the show with pretty much every line. That alone is pretty remarkable.

She was both Lucifer the cat in Cinderella and the show-stealing Grandma in Mulan. Her career began in radio, and went long enough to lend her voice to video games (Magica DeSpell in the 2013 remaster of DuckTales). What a career.

I noticed that USF2 had an update when I started my Switch today. I bet it’s a recent thing.

Millions of unique daily users, 15th top-grossing app in the App Store, and the in-person event sold out in minutes.

While doing a sick kickflip at the skatepark. I suppose I should take up skateboarding then, if I ever want this to happen. 30's not too old to learn, right?

“Play Darts With…” more than one Sim should now work, and no longer leave the Sims standing around looking awkwardly at one another.

I feel like Cheryl’s complaints are more about how Kermit has been written, rather than how he was voiced.

I remember hearing about something similar in Pokémon Red/Blue glitchless runs. The PokéDoll item can be used on the ghost Marowak in Pokémon Tower, which renders the Silph Scope unnecessary and allows the player to skip the Celedon Rocket Hideout. The argument in favor of allowing it is that everything is working as

I’m with you. It was a twist just for the sake of being a twist, which is only there to fake out people who know the source material. This wasn’t as bad as Robin John Blake, because that one was a lot less subtle with how much that was supposed to feel like a reveal. But I still think the comparison is appropriate.

Fair enough, it certainly won’t be outperforming any tablets in that department. But if I want to pick just one gadget to bring to bed with me, the hypothetical Switch with a web browser would be good enough to be a no-brainer.

ARMS is pretty fun, and Splatoon 2 is promising as well. Plus, there are a ton of great small/indie ports that are worth playing if you missed them before. But the real selling point is the hardware itself- being able to swap between the TV and portable modes so seamlessly really does feel great. Even if you don’t

Same here. I really hope there ends up a way to do it, because it otherwise feels really weird to put a 3-player game on your retro system and only allow two controllers.
