Sounds like they’ve gone and got themselves a de facto union. Best thing to come out of all of this - and hopefully an example to other workers at other companies. This is how you unionise. You just do it.

I do love that Nintendo, forever out of touch with how the internet works, decided no co-streams last possible minute, throwing tons of streamers schedules out of whack, and most just went “fuck ‘em” and did it anyway.
