I don’t think you can vote COVID-19 away. You will only be trading one form of COVID Normal for another COVID Normal. Each one has it’s serious downsides. Pick your poison.
I waited 2 years for the Mazda 6 Skyactiv-D to arrive. Well, needless to say I don’t own one today. Other than that car, the only other one that I waited on was the Acura TSX (Honda Accord in most of the world). It did arrive after 7 months of waiting. I still believe that the TSX was worth waiting for and that the… Read more
Is there not enough aftermarket support to have retrofit kits or is there simply too many different designs to make kits profitable?
Great posting. I love the hauntingly quiet type of imagery. Thanks for the lead on Connor Sheehan.
I had a girlfriend in college that was Japanese. She said that even if we got married, she’d keep her citizenship. She was told that if she became a US citizen, Japan would revoke her Japanese citizenship. I’ll probably get one of those huge steel bumpers with lights, wench, jack and tow hooks used to pull semis out of ditches. On the back I’ll get a rear bumper that I can place outdoor speakers on next to a spare… Read more
I third that sentiment. Last of the real car guys that actually work on cars and write mostly about cars (even if the articles have the word “Jeep” in them A LOT).
In my case I spent hundreds of dollars on equipment in an attempt to get the expected speeds for a wireless setup. Turns out that though my hardware was multiple times more capable than the transfer speeds I was getting, it came down to being on a 2.4 GHz signal vs 5 GHz. Didn’t make sense either since the 2.4 had a… Read more
If my WFH situation becomes more permanent, I could very well invest in an upgraded AC. My 8000 btu Toshiba is nicer than most, but this might be just the ticket. Hard to justify changing it out for a unit that is only 10 dB quieter though.
