As a reminder the map of FFVII is a planet, not city, not a country, not an island or a continent is a PLANET, so it depends on wether they want to have minimap with an icon of cloud like in the orignal or a 1 to 1 scale kind of like WOW or FF XIV, sort of like FFXV but full planet, so, honestly I dont think is BS

Morrowind is something special. Skyrim is a mile wide and an inch deep.

To be fair, the original game was pretty linear. And in the worst case scenario, if we were to lose the open world, I don’t think we would miss much. I can see it work in two ways:

Personally i prefer this game to be split into two but with more detail and content on each arc and places. Like, i want to spend more than just 5 hour worth of quest in Midgard with hopefully more places to see in that city.

So, basically, what you’re saying is, “Rush it to the market, Squeenix, so I can bitch about how much got cut out later. I don’t care about quality until the game is out, then I will be very angry that you did exactly what I wanted you to do.” Got it.

The game locked off parts of the world until the latter half of the game anyhow. It’s not a huge issue really.

Modern open world games cheat with the way they generate and use (and reuse) assets. FFVIIR can’t.

I’m sorry but you’re just so, so wrong.

I wouldn’t ask Bethesda a damn thing.

I think the problem with the Halo games currently is the lore is so far up it’s own ass it can’t find it’s way out. None of it makes sense anymore without having the dig into all this spin off content.

Why not? Surely if one has a computer that can do the job and push the frames, by now it’s basically amateur hour to tie core logic and physics to framerate.

You and I both know FO4 is a good game despite it’s many drawbacks. I think New Vegas is probably better overall, but 4 is still very good. However, I would prefer Bethesda improve on those drawbacks with the next game, that way we can get something even better. I don’t want them to just keep sweeping the issues under

Yes or no, can you be critical about something you like? I’ve got nearly 1000 hours logged on betheda games, I would just like to see the animations improve. Witcher 3 seemed to be able to manage. Not perfectly, but definetely better.

Nay, good sir, you are the troll. Fie upon you.

We wouldn’t have to parrot the same tired-ass lines every single time Bethesda releases a new game if Bethesda wouldn’t use the same tired-ass engine, would we?

So, we’re trolls because we disagree with you? Solid logic there. It’s not like we don’t have a point, you know. The same bugs crop up release after release. The same tired old physics engine that breaks at high FPS/no V-Sync. Same animations, same necessary .ini tweaks, same everything, basically since Morrowind.

The clunky engine has been used since Morrowind, which came out in 2002. The same issues keep coming up with every game release. They may have rebranded and modified it, but it’s still inferior technology.

You can spit shine the description all you want but you’re still polishing a turd.

The physics engine is tied to the frame rate so unlocking your frame rate will mess everything up.

i.e. there’s no frame rate cap
