For most people there is enough information out there that air control is garbage. Unless you are foolish and buy an unknown game from an unknown developer the day it is released.

If you have never played them maybe refrain from making such judgments until you do?

Take this note to heart people.

Yes, but regardless of whether it hits the maximum settings it still looks waaay better than the console settings, plays better too probably.

Small correction, the Q6600 at this point is 8 years old. It released in January of 2007.

Just because it doesn't hit recommended it doesn't mean it is out of date. That is why PC games have settings.

"Just talk to us like we're normal people," Dan said. "We're not there to ruin your day; we're there to try and help you, and we will help you if we can."

The problem with that is that you can't balance that equation. Twice the quality is a lot more time consuming to produce than twice the content (of the type they put in the game).

It isn't necessarily the rewards. The descriptions often add a great deal of flavour, also some of the quests affect your companions or have their own war table story thread.

I thought the war table had plenty of interesting story and the outcome of actions would trigger events in the rest of the game. It also gave a broader outlook of the inquisition vs the 4 person party roaming the various areas.

You really don't need to grind for Power. It is so plentiful you end up with a surplus even if you don't do too much in the game.

Last night a character in Inquisition tasked me with finding five of a certain type of herb. The character told me her clan was having a tough time trying to survive and needed this herb to make the situation better. I thought to myself, OK, this isn't the most interesting side quest, but if I see this herb along the

Thats really interesting. Also, yes there are no consoles with multiple gpus. But benchmarks can reveal frame time variance. I think most console games attempt to delay to the latest time possible inside the window, but every so often you get the hiccups of a couple of ms.

You shouldn't just redefine the terms. Those spikes are the source of what we call microstuttering. The other variance isn't as pronounced and 2ms difference isn't going to be felt. If you look at DF articles where there is some rate variance in consoles you get similar variation and just about everyone says the

I can no longer remember what my source was, however I'll take your word (and the graphs) that it remains spotty. I would be interested in knowing where you got those charts.

AFAIK, this was before they put in their frame-pacing fixes. Most benchmarks show that the XDMA based CF has less frame time variance than SLI provided you're CFing cards of the same speed (CF allows you to mix cards based on the same die).

There already is a problem when using youtube for comparison videos. Regular 1080p videos are heavily compressed to the point of worthlessness for comparison. At 60fps youtube videos have much more per frame compression than regular videos, completely ruining the IQ.

They only look identical because they keep using youtube. The compression in youtube will smudge up all the differences. 1080p on youtube isn't really that much of a step up from uncompressed 720p.

Even when I did buy Ubisoft games I cracked it to get rid of UPlay...
