Let’s say it takes me a couple minutes to do my business, and that I do it twice a day.

(he was being sarcastic)
no one has been tougher on swingers than me.
Re: “It’s not a Muslim ban.” We should embrace this terminology. It isn’t really a Muslim ban. That was basically the reason SCOTUS upheld it. This the third diluted iteration of a law that the first two were struck down as Muslim bans, until what remained was not a Muslim ban.
I like the idea of 32 teams just because even numbers in each league facilitates fewer interleague play.
The distance from Dallas/Houston is a pretty big factor in favor of Austin or SA. When the Rangers or Astros are good, you’ll see games on in bars, but when the teams are middling, you never think about them in Austin. There seems to be room for another team here.
How do you explain the ALs dominance in this? It seems like the results should be random. The same players play for one team one year and the other team the next some time. Its crazy, and its stretched out too far now to mean nothing. 18-3 (and 1).
Rick Perry’s Oops tactic is catching on.
My one wish is to live long enough to see where this ends up.
Yeah. I’ve thought the same. Every time a trade is made, there is so much hand wringing. We just gave up four future Mike Trouts for that guy!
Two decades ago is another one. When the Astros got Randy Johnson, it was the NLs first taste of him. He made a mockery of it, going 10-1 in 11 starts with 4 complete game shut outs. 1.28 ERA in the roid-filled late 90s. Finished 7th in the Cy Young voting in the NL, where he only played for half a season.
I feel like the answer would have to be zero. Space isn’t a perfect vacuum. We are travelling around the sun through something (even if it is super close to nothing). So there is some infinitesimal orbital decay. I can’t think of anything that would counteract the decay, so at some tiny tiny tiny tiny rate, the…
Urban Texas. My group is mid-30s to mid-40s, well educated, tech savvy people — as online-friendly as any demo out there. And they beg for the personal recommendation.
This does not ring true to me. Anecdotally, the domestic workers around me are in such high demand that everyone begs for you to tell them who your [x] is, and the employers are slow to give out names because they fear they will be hired away. I think there is a lot more value placed on a word-of-mouth recommendation t…
I feel like nothing makes someone more American than massive credit card debt.
I just feel like none of this matters. Everyone is going to run out the clock on Trump, and everyone will go back to being buddies once he’s gone. I think Europe knows this is Trump, not America.
I forget over here you just call them ‘sausages in the mouth.’
There is some no-familiarity-with-the-game level baseball terminology usage in this post. That dude’s not the catcher. That thing’s not the plate.
The Texas Rangers got rid of the excellent Josh Lewin and put the rookie moron John Rhadigan in his place in the years the Rangers were going to the World Series. So I have been a gigantic fan of one of the most moribund sports franchises in the country for decades and their one chance in the spotlight was dominated…
