Wow, great post!
Wow, great post!
Read the article - Saikawa said that “all new Infiniti models launched after 2021 will either be all-electric vehicles or will rely on the parent company’s new range-extending electric motor-powered technology called ePower,”
I can think of a few reasons -
I’m guessing it’s because then Gizmodo doesn’t make any money off the referral. The charity gets that money instead.

Calling it now, they’re going to make an “allroad” variant by bringing over the wagon and/or hatchback version, lifting it a few inches, and adding cladding. Pair that with refreshed front/back ends and you’ve got a new model with very minimal investment.
wow that’s actually pretty neat. Seems like a great idea for SE Asia and Europe where scooters are already popular, might be tough to catch one here.
Wow, I don’t know how I missed that one. Thanks for pointing it out. One of the best things I’ve read on this site.
I just did my own experiment with my fusion sport. 1st 5k miles I used premium, the next I used regular. Gas mileage went down by ~1 mpg and the reduced torque isn’t really noticeable. Definitely not worth the extra 50-60 cents a gallon for premium around here.
I hope you’re right. I’m dreaming of a $400-500 Windows iPad. Something with comparable battery life and always-on standby time of iOS but with the greater capability and flexibility of Windows. The surface 3 was supposed to be that, but it’s just not there in practice.
How does this compare to something running an Atom processor (like a non-pro Surface 3, for example)? The claims there are much the same here - fanless design, better battery life, but trade-off on ultimate performance.
Doesn’t seem to be working, as it shows $10 on the page (and when I go to check out). Anything I’m missing?

Between this thing and the hellcat/demon dodges, I think we are seeing the peak ‘Murica-ness of cars. I can’t picture any other country with a strong auto industry building cars like this that are all about more.
You’re welcome. I love Dan Carlin too, but sometimes he rambles on a bit too much.
If you’re into history, I highly recommend Revolutions and A History of Rome if you haven’t found them already. The same guy does both, and you can tell he puts a lot of time and effort into making complex historical events into coherent narratives.
So would this be best suited to someone who hasn’t gotten into smart home stuff yet but is interested in doing so? I ask bc on paper that’s me and I’m very interested in this device, but so far all the reviews are kinda meh...
Eh, I’m not sure if that’s the case. A stiffer structure would seemingly help this, since if the body around the glass was flexing it would put more stress on the glass, which does not flex very well. Glass can be a strong material if loaded correctly (usually in compression) so I can see some of that contributing to…
Don’t forget their tax rate is much, much higher than ours. My colleague who worked over there for ZF said about half his check was taken out in taxes every month.
Yup, the S/Sport badging has become ridiculous. Most of the time it’s a mild bodykit and a bit of red or fake CF trim. I had a Camry “sport edition” in high school and it essentially just added a wing and blacked out the badges.
Aha, that makes a little more sense. Though I’d think a lower market brand like Dodge could live with a refreshed version to keep it cheap, and use the new platform to move the 300 upmarket.
“Sources say a planned redesign of the LX-based 300 onto the Giorgio platform, originally scheduled for 2020, has been scrapped.”
