Any of the current Geico ads.
I don’t think Doug knows what a spleen does. That said, neither do I.
Excellent article, well done.
Japanese import fans. There hasn’t been a mid-priced, decently powerful coupe from Japan in a long time. Toyota/Honda/Mitsubishi don’t have anything (Toyobaru is too slow), Nissan’s letting the Z slowly die on the vine, and Mazda’s only got the (also slow) Miata. The closest thing really is the Hyundai Genesis coupe.
Interesting idea. You would certainly have to solve some difficult material problems though. For one, this material has a pretty low resistance to fracture. Meaning that a small chip could propagate, or that small tap on your bumper could lead to much more disastrous consequences. It’s not as bad as glass, but it’s…
I can’t remember where, but I remember reading that Ford claimed that all the metal-looking trim in the interior was actually metal this time around (except for the switches).

They’re not H-92’s, that’s for sure. Sikorsky is just building the first of those as we speak. They’re likely S-92’s that have been fitted with some military gear
My gf’s sister just bought a Sentra. I haven’t driven one, but I seem to remember that even the buff mags thought it was one of the worst cars in the class when the current gen came out. I thought she made a mistake. Was I wrong?
Eh I’d go with gold instead of the red (and less of the accent color), but is that heresy on something that isn’t a Lotus?
If you go to TG’s website, they have a whole lot more info on what’s in this episode.
Mazda 6.
Ah that’s a good point, and actually makes this even more incredible if true.
It’s called glide ratio: the amount the aircraft will fall per unit distance traveled when gliding. It’s a direct result of the aircrafts lift to drag ratio, which is just about the most important criteria to most aircraft design. That it traveled that far with no power is evidence the plane was extremely well…
Damn. Thanks for the reply though
Is SCG going to be at Le Mans this year? I know there were rumors of running in LMP1 in a few years, but perhaps the current car fits a lower class? I’d love to see them out there!
