Really? I didn’t think the handles would have enough force behind them to actually pinch someone.

It’s hard to see how Takata survives this, unless airbags are a small part of their business. They’re essentially replacing all the airbags they sold in the US for what, 10 years? That alone is enough punishment for the company, but I still think the executives who kept the change quiet when they knew the deadly

I would like to think that a man as busy as Elon Musk would leave decisions on door handles to other people, but you’re probably right. And I’m not surprised their marketing department is so small, it’s not like they really need it right now. Musk generates more than enough buzz on his own.

Exactly.

Hey Tesla

Should be noted that this guy actually tore a ligament in his ankle. Not nearly as funny as a nut shot.

Nice! But just tell them you bought a Commodore.

I actually take the train quite a bit for work (just got the updgraded rewards status they have, so yay I guess) and at least the route I do is better than driving (CT-Philly). Acela trains are generally comfortable, quiet, and avoids all the traffic near NYC. Plus they drop you off right in city centers, and you can

First the line lock on the Mustang, now Drift Mode...WTF is going on with Ford's lawyers? Have they all been hired by GM to deal with recall lawsuits?

Thank you for putting a damper on all this Apple car BS. We've seen people freak out about this many times before and it came to nothing. I'll believe it when it comes out of Tim Cook's mouth.

If I recall correctly, GM's head of marketing was fired shortly after that deal was finalized.

That's awesome. I wonder if you could do that nowadays or if the city would be too concerned with liability if somebody crashed.

My grandfather has one of these, a '93 XL 4x2 5-speed. It is used solely as a tool to get things done. Lives under a tree and most of it has turned green, but it always does what's needed the 10-20x a year it's called upon. That's my idea of a great truck. Also what I learned to drive stick on.

Emissions mostly. I'm guessing they're also trying to avoid carbon buildup that can plague DI systems.
