Hi Guys, I thought you did a great job overall. I do have one question/criticism for Derek though. What is the reasoning for (what appears to be in the photos) the rather large grille? Most of the other design cues seem to highlight the car's smallness (lights, overhangs, etc.) but the grille utterly dominates the

Doug, where do you find this music? It all sounds like extended versions of the terrible polyphonic ring tones you used to get on old flip phones

somebody on here was bound to know. Thanks!

So what is this little guy? I am intrigued.

Like 2CVs but are a mer-person? Boy are you in luck, because this one is amphibious.

If they had called it something slightly different I might've had to buy one. Not that I see any point in a tuned tesla. Or I could afford it

Just to be different from all the Honda/Acura guesses...

Hasten the day. Top Gear has got a lot to answer for but one of its leading offences has been to outlaw cars as a subject for discussion in the presence of women. You can get away with politics or business at a dinner party (subjects that used to be forbidden in what was known as polite company). You might even be

As democrotizingfasciitis pointed out, the key here is replaceablility. There are quite a few people who can work the machines/processes to make apparel, but there are only a limited amount of top tier college athletes. If a school does not want to pay their market value, the best athletes will go elsewhere. The

I've seen speculation the he Raptor is the highest profit margin vehicle Ford makes, so I think you're absolutely right. There's no way they cancel it.

These systems are also going to be (or are currently, not sure) in LMP1 cars.

While that may be true of Chrysler's design, IIRC GM's was not a problem with a cheap design. They had some complaints of "feel" on previous ignition switch designs, so they went with a lighter spring that then caused the issues. Small changes to spring rates really don't cost anything, so I'm sure the lighter spring

Hmm RHD made me think this was mostly for the UK, but I don't think that's where these press shots are from...

very nice Doug, finally taking that Range Rover where it was meant to live: on roads covered in snow hiding giant potholes. Good luck.

I agree this was not anything malicious or overly incompetent. My guess is that he did not change the part number to avoid drawing attention to the problem that should have (at that point already) been solved years ago. If he had changed the part number, then many more people would have to be notified (buyers of the

Almost everything BMW makes is a misnomer these days. GTs that are just hatchbacks, model numbers don't correspond to engine displacement, etc. But I think the worst is the made up name they give to the X6 (and now the X4): Sports Activity Coupe. Just no. Your SAC is none of those things.

So..any estimated stats? 0-60? Fuel Economy? Ford has to estimate the MPG of this thing so they have a sexy high number to shout about.

If I recall correctly, this will be based off of the new Golf architecture, so they will not be developing a new platform anyway.

Would anyone under 60 actually buy this over an Escape? Is it actually worth the extra Lincoln will charge, or is just a warmed over Ford like every other car in their lineup?
