I can’t argue any of that, but to say don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater - Nissan’s iron blocks (especially in that era) were nigh indestructible. Most look to the RB series engines for that power, but I’d be willing to bet the VG is just as robust.

That a mid-90's ‘Vette outpaced a 300ZX surprises me. I know the Z wasn’t exactly a rocket, but I was under the (perhaps false) impression that it handled very well. I suppose, on some level, which track matters, but I’ll take you at your word.

The correct number of exhausts is the same as the number of turbochargers your engine has...which is to say, if your engine has 0 turbochargers, you really don’t need an exhaust for anything.
