I love Long Beach Airport. It’s usually not cost competitive, but when I can manage it, I try to fly in and out of there.

Never mind the snow storms and delays. As a United flyer, the problem with O’Hare is that it is aging, and badly. It’s impossible to find a power outlet anywhere in the United terminals. It’s like some sadistic luddite went through that place and pulled out every plug and outlet. You see groups of people huddled

Here here. Fiata, for the win.

Nondescript? The hell you say.

Your firearms are useless against them!

Not sure the Air France flight is a great example. The only reason it augered in was because the first officer kept pulling back on the stick, forcing the airplane nose up and continuing the stall condition almost all the way into the sea. By the time the captain realized what was going on and commanded nose down,

The Hudson crash was a massive bird strike that took out both engines. There's not a plane in the sky that weathers that kind of event.

Yes. Reported that the plane descended from 38,000 feet at a rate of about 3 to 4 thousand feet per minute, which is not a particularly rapid descent. The aircraft also maintained course, which is actually odd, since the aircraft was coming from the sea and flying into the Alps at the time. No way the pilots would

I bought one too. It's a great car, but definitely underpowered. What I wouldn't give for a MazdaSpeed 6.

The ergonomics of that desk look awful. The desktop is way too low to be useful.

B-58 Hustler. Best aircraft name ever.

Well, Braithwaite did hold Healy's neck and then slam his forehead into him. Dude should be in jail right now.

Flop... or not? That's a helluva a cut.

It does. And I understand why it makes sense in an Abarth, where space is at such a premium. Maybe if they used different colors for the two tiers, it might be more functional. But my speedo/tach is actually orange on black, which makes it significantly harder to read than what is shown here.

Holy crap. That's just egregious.

But that's exactly what we're going to get. My Fiat 500 Abarth has probably the worst gauge setup ever, with an inscrutable, nested speedo and tach set around a horrifically disorganized digital readout. And it's even worse because it interrupts itself to announce when outside temps fall below 38 degrees.

A modal dashboard gauge is the mother of all anti-patterns. The same display means different things in different contexts, indicated by a kaleidoscope of changing colors? This is awful.
