This Week In Our Collective Heads

I was trying to find the basis of this article for the full list, and I only see the pic with the title “best sellers”. Is that something Nintendo says are the top ten best selling games, or just a list of highlighted games under a (potentially) misleading header? I know the App store messes with the algorithm

This was what we loved about the Vita and now love about the Switch. Portability + Indies = winning

Child of Light 2. Ubiart looked like it was going to be a thing, but we only ever got Child of Light and Valiant Hearts (Both excellent).

Anyone else confused by the #1 spot getting <10% of the vote? That means 17 out of 200 people voted for her. I feel like this poll had extremely low participation, with “I don’t know/care” as the most common answer.

It’s actually not day and date for Fire Emblem Heroes. Android gets it on March 2, iOS just says “Coming soon.”

Finally! Now we know that Miis’ spiritual beliefs come from Norse mythology. Miitopia = Ragnarok, endless combat alongside your companions for eternal glory!

So... Now we’re calling attention to it in hopes that it’ll go away? I’m pretty sure that’s not how the internet works.

Way too old to play a game that doesn’t have an end. I’m putting MMOs, endless runners, online competitive games, F2P, all into the same category of Nope.

“It’s high noon...”

And that’s what I think of as “traditional FF progression”. Linear until you get an airship/flying garden (spoilers for VIII?). It’s worrying when the director describes exactly the opposite as traditional. I’m glad I decided to wait on the pre-order until I KNOW what I’m in for.

KOTAKU JUST TOLD US NOT TO BUY PS4! XBOX BIAS CONFIRMED! #Xbot #InternetRage

I think I’m going to have a single fireball ready just in case...

We’re having people over tonight for a Bob’s Burgers themed birthday party for a friend of mine. Eating burgers (obv) and some of us will be working on our group cosplay (I’m going to be Tina!).

Actual Sunlight helped me understand my wife’s depression in a way no book or movie was able to do. What game do you feel taught you the most?

Voldt of Boreal Valley will always be Doge Knight since he got named that on our First Impressions stream, even getting his own theme song.

The Vita is my favorite. Isaac alone has let me dump hundreds of hours into this little machine, and I agree with Evan about how it somehow feels snappier and more responsive. VIVA LA VITA!

I find it much closer to Binding of Isaac. Souls is static, those are constantly changing. I must play it!

Looks like a world worth exploring.

It irritates me that Squeenix is getting money for this. Modders can try to improve it, but in the end you’re still financially rewarding them for screwing up one of the greatest games of all time.

Bottom line: will we ever get a sequel, or will Amalur forever remain trapped in legal entanglement?
