I have such a weird affection for Planet of the Apes movies. I loved the old ones, I love the new one. The middle one that was nothing like PotA though (was that Mark Wahlberg??), I hated.

Not just babies, but yeah they have a 10 month old (?) that they are talking about specifically. I guess they hadn't released pictures of her and the paps got some and spread them around. But who knows if they'll parade her around some day. Maybe when she's 10 they'll take her to an awards show or something, but that

LOL as soon as I read the link I was all "Oh god, why would someone tell me that!!!!! I cannot resist!!!" I need to get in a recycling books mentality instead of an MUST ACQUIRE MORE mentality. My shelf of books I have yet to read is way, way too full right now.

Got it! I feel like he could also be smiling. It's nice, his smile reaches his eyes! Nice demon!

The last time I tried hooking up a VCR to my modern tv I think I just used RCA red white yellow cables. Or don't they hook up via the cable hookup thing? Unless your tv is much more modern than mine... lol.

Whatever that picture is, I keep thinking this is an ad for some Planet of the Apes movie.

I think the only VHS that I have still is A Very Brady Christmas. Ohhhh there'll never be a better Christmas movie for me. I'm pathetic! Also, I have no VCR.

Absolutely, I agree. Personally, I think I would have done donor eggs, donor sperm, donor embryos and all that had my IVF cycle not worked. Its an incredibly personal decision and I would never judge anyone for what they decide.

I kept VHS tapes of soap operas for years and years and years, I have NOOOOOOOO place to judge anyone :)

Yup, that's what I do if I just need the tv on while my kids are awake. It has to be like Friends or Golden Girls because I know that I won't hear 99% of it!

Since the kid is a toddler and I'd have to be the one serving the food and there is NO WAY IN A BILLION YEARS that I'm touching a roach, yeah I'm not daring my kids to eat it either!!!

This is probably silly, but thank you for writing this. I have struggled with feeding my kids since they were born (preemies and horrific reflux) and its good to be reminded how hard it can be to eat from their perspective. As much as I want them to "just eat the freaking soup!!!" its not worth bullying and yelling.

Won't force feed my kids either. First, because it's awful. Second, because I have no idea how to do it! If I am able to sneak a bite of Food They Don't Like in there somehow, they realize it and spit it out immediately. How do you even force a kid to chew and swallow something.

You cannot do something while you watch a show like House of Cards! You have to pay attention and look at the screen! Housewives of Anywhere though, yes, occupy yourself additionally during that.

I'm not one to speak because I don't get rid of books either, and have moved so many times with insanely heavy boxes of books... but you can always donate them to your local library! Our library has a sale every few months and there are always tons of awesome books for like $1 because so many people donate.

Some do flaunt their kids and take them on the red carpet, though I've never seen someone on the red carpet with a baby. And its 100% okay for a parent to want to control when people are photographing their child. It's not some crazy control issue, it's normal.

OH MY GOD. That's insane. And very sad. I wonder what they would have done for me, my babies were born 11 weeks early and I didn't get on a pump until they were 3 days old (recovering from the trauma of their birth, trying not to stroke out from high BP, etc) and the entire time I was in the hospital (a few days of

Right?? Guilting people into doing something or shaming them or whatever this law is going to do isn't going to help create a healthy mother/child bond! Imagine not wanting to breastfeed and basically being forced to every 3 hours (if you're lucky)?? That is going to create moms who resent their kids.

Though, now that I'm thinking about it, when those movies came out (early 90s I think?) was there the great proliferation of toys and marketing that there is now? I know I never had an Ariel barbie or anything... though maybe I was too old for the princess toys but not too old for the movies. I think I was 9 or 10 for

Reminds me of my childhood. I was exactly the right age for The Little Mermaid/Lion King/Beauty and the Beast Disney movie renaissance. And they were musicals which were right up my alley.
