Ahhh, that sounds awful. My twins are 2 and somehow one had a horrible stomach virus and was vomiting for 4 hours straight right before Christmas and the other didn't get it!! His dad and I both did, but I have one real hearty 2 year old apparently.

I'm as anti death penalty as anyone, but no punishment solves any crime. Technically, if he's in jail for life or dead, he can't commit any more crimes so I guess that is solved?

Why would they start at anything other than the maximum penalty though? He can plead guilty and get life, right? Starting at life without parole doesn't really give them an option to skip trial.

I don't know... if he actually gets the death penalty (and I am assuming he won't, he'll plead guilty and get life... right??), it'll be years and years of appeals and his name not being in the news. By the time he's actually put to death, we'll be so far removed from what he did that most people aren't going to give…

STDs and unwanted pregnancies are avoidable with birth control and abortions. Nothing is 100% obviously and that's a risk that all sexually active people take. Money and marriage don't make those risks go away though. So are you saying no one at all should ever have sex??

I agree that no one should have a child they can't afford. But I think that has to fall to the person having the child to decide. Anything else is way too slippery slope, like you said. And there are going to be responsible people who stop when they can't afford more and irresponsible ones who don't stop.

It always comes down to sex with these people doesn't it? Do they not get enough of it? Do they have so much sex-related guilt and anxiety that they feel the need to obsess over it?

That's a great point about the patient attached to the wound. A lot of the stuff I thought I'd freak out over with my kids is no big deal because they need me and all I see is my kid in need, not the bloody mouth or whatever.

Same here!!! I don't mind when it's just mucus or wet, but when you get an actual booger oh god I have to choke back the barf. Diapers are so frequent that they don't even register any more and my boys both had horrible reflux so I spent like 7 months covered in vomit and its no big deal now.

Ohhh same here. Small talk is THE WORST. Honestly, I really don't care about your day, or the weather, or whatever other meaningless crap we are going to talk about. Hanging out with real friends where you don't have to do this kind of stuff is the best.
