As far as I'm concerned, as long as it doesn't interfere or influence the care of the patient, doctors and nurses can find their patients situations amusing whenever they want. The crap they have to deal with incredibly outweighs any amusing situations I'm sure!

Don't be friends with someone you can't just say "Dude, stop with the details! I mean it!" to. Easy peasy.

Teenagers don't have the good stuff til 16. What good stuff is there before you can drive? You want to be an adult, but mom has to drop you off at the movies and pick you up! Those years suck!

I'm torn between being plain old horrified at a 12 year old having sex and being sad that there are probably 12 year olds with a more out there sex life than me.

Sanctioned by local government?? Their version of Parks and Rec must be very, very different from NBC's.

Right?? I didn't even start having kids until I was the age my mom was when she had her last. Takes soooo much longer now, if you're the planning and waiting until you're ready type. And with it taking so much longer, people hit more infertility issues so this makes sense to me.

Ha, yeah, who knows. It does always seem that way. A few years ago when I was going through infertility it definitely seemed like everyone and their sister was getting accidentally knocked up, stupid or not. Too bad you don't have to actually be trying in order to get pregnant. That would solve so much!!!

Jesus, sometimes the wrong people are just so super fertile.

Yeah I'm not debating the merits of my undergrad degree or my mother's parenting choices with you. It all worked out, clearly, and I had a very happy time in undergrad (and grad school). I'm totally happy with my choices and life, it's okay with me if you don't like them.

lol and No you didn't. Why are you so crazy defensive??

Ohhhh don't worry about your 20 pound baby! At 5 months a baby should be fat and rolly and it's completely perfect. And just know that it is hard on the other side of the spectrum too, I have two 22lb two year olds. I'd give anything to have had a 5 month old that weighed 20 pounds! 20 pounds is a healthy baby at that

Yeah, it's too bad the result that comes up isn't "no, but you are stupid."

Nope. I'm perfectly happy and I have a masters degree in a more productive field. Bachelors degrees are a good base, but I know next to no one with only a Bachelors and even fewer people who are using their B's.

Similar story here, my mom did go to college but she had to go to the one her parents chose and study what they chose for her not what she wanted. So she was very supportive of my ridiculous "Communications" degree, no matter how useless it turned out to be!

Good lord, this would never occur to me. Hope for a healthy kid, anything else is just gravy. But I don't feel any worse for today's little girls than I do for yesterday's. At least today's have a lot more on their side than the ones born in the 50s. It may not be perfect, but they have a lot going for them!

Sims found the cure for drunkeness???

I get stuck in "grab a slice" mode with pizza quite frequently. In my life, not Sims.

I think the reason people may think that is because absolutely the only thing you ever hear about this movie/book is INCEST and people love it (the book/movie, not the incest necessarily). It's a legit question IMO, because all anyone talks about in the movie is the incest and watching it because of the incest.

I haven't either. My goal is the Michael Pollan "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants." But I really just eat whatever I want. Life is short, eat cupcakes!

And now I have thought of my own brothers and I am even more grossed out.
