P-AWS is completely different from AWD. It allows the rear wheels to turn at a minute angle in response to the angle of the front wheels, thus aiding in better turn in. There's no power driving the rear wheels. Also, the P-AWS System is FWD while X-Drive is a rear biased AWD system. Apples to oranges here.

SH-AWD is freakin fantastic. When we do snow removal at my dealership we can drive MDXs out of three foot snow drifts. The AWD system in the RDX and other Honda products... Not so much.

This is now going to be BMWs case of STi to WRX. For $500 you can flash the M235i to make equal or more power than the M2. The cost differential between the two is small, but not so small.
