Meryl Streep’s character is too similar to too many people I’ve known. These are terrible people who will never change.

It still eliminates jobs and creates more competition for lower level jobs, which hurts the most marginalized workers. But, yay, pat yourself on the back.
Religion re-wires the brain. Poverty re-wires the brain. Being rich re-wires the brain.
How is it that this gets play on Gawker, but not the murder of Deven Guilford? It was captured by a body cam and dash cam.
This summarizes how I feel trying to manage ancient software at work.
He did this at least 4 times while in Portland.
No one outside the Pacific Northwest bought one, but they were very good vehicles and a lot of thought went into them.
Definitely that too.
Rule of thumb for comedies: if the trailer contains any poop or head trauma humor, the movie is garbage.
Taken down on copyright grounds. I guess the lawyers had to catch up to Twitter eventually to ruin the fun.
I hate that this is the best video I could find, but South Park’s version of the Star Wars changes is always hilarious:
It was watchable and pretty funny. Dunno if I’d say great.
I’m having trouble thinking of a skin color or gender where 100% of the people carry loaded guns.
It is a generalization. I love dogs, but if I see a random dog, I’m going to stay away from it because dogs are wild animals who occasionally bite and kill people.
Any other punishment that doesn’t involve locking someone in a tiny room. I’m sure there are plenty of crimes you avoid committing because you don’t want to pay the fine or deal with going to court.
Why do they need to be put anywhere if they’re not a threat? The number one reason for incarcerating people in this country is probation violation. If we’re fine with them being out of prison after they were convicted of a crime, why should we be fine with putting them in prison for failing a UA?
For criminals who can be rehabilitated or who do not pose a threat to the general public are better off not in prison. It’s silly that a single positive UA during probation can land a non-violent offender in prison.
Apparently, there is a lot of evidence that increasing police presence actually does deter crime in a way that fear of prison doesn’t. The goal shouldn’t be more arrests, though. It should be stopping crime before it happens.
Reading some of the comments here are disturbing. It feels like we’re about 6 months from stapling fig leafs onto art again. You people are super liberal with everything, until it comes to women in art, where they MUST be covered. Fuck right off.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Japan, but there’s a lot of xenophobia that other countries just simply wouldn’t get away with. If they had used German actors instead of Japanese actors, nobody would go see the movie in Japan.
