The power dynamic thing isn't really relevant unless there's a non-romantic relationship between the two (teacher/student, doctor/patient, boss/employee). If he dated a 35 year old woman who worked as a barista and lived in a studio apartment there would be a "power disparity" too.

I think we're arguing the same point in different ways. The parents should be there to help, guide, and mentor their kid with all of it, even the trivial stuff. And if there is something that crosses that line to dangerous, then intervene.

I literally recorded the music in the WOR on a tape to listen to on a long roadtrip with my parents when I was a kid.

The music is what made this game. Oh my god the music. Terra's theme, Dancing Mad, the epic 20-something minute long ending theme. Operatic music in an age where video games were considered to be just for kids.

Games like Unreal Tournament and Quake used to always have some sort of crazy powered mode. Instagib was always fun.

I'm pretty sure I have the same shoes. We should probably get married.

Non-denominational animal friendly petroleum based foot apparati. Duh.

"Way to get your new sneaker all over my old dirt, asshole."

It's like some bizarre Zach Galifianakis sketch on an adult swim show at 2AM.

Doesn't happen with accents, but it definitely seems like people in the US make their upbringings sound more trying and difficult than they actually were, as if it gives them greater justification in what they're doing now.

Surprisingly...this looks and sounds very good.

Kinja: Like the NSA, but more annoying.

I tried to star a post from a burner account and my computer started throwing $20s at me! HOW WEIRD

The only other bug I've seen (today) is: logging in then clicking on notifications brings up the login popup again.

Seems like people are testing the bug by starring my post, which is funny.

Prison guard unions, police unions, and pharmaceutical lobbyists are some of the most powerful political players in the US. There's no money in human rights.

Fun new Kinja bug: When I try to click on the star, it just opens the reply box.

I don't know why my position here is broadcasting something about my own experiences. I experienced bullying on both sides of that line when I was growing up. It's really not relevant here, but I'll bring in personal experiences:

You could say the same thing about using heroin. Just because most people make it out alive doesn't make it less bad.
