I'm still working on Guacamelee, then it'll be Lightning Returns, then X, X-2 HD remakes, and by then it'll be like July.

That's the thing - I always get frustrated because the number of games out there that I want to play is more than the number that I'm able to play, with the whole job and marriage thing.
Final Fantasy VIII was the only one in the main series that I couldn't finish in my first try or two. None of the characters are likeable, the story is garbage, the draw/allocate/magic system is awful, and you can just blow through summons every battle if you don't mind sitting there for 5 minutes watching the same…
I've been considering a 2DS or 3DS almost specifically for Bravely Default. Good idea or no?
Do you know why athletes and celebrities hate journalists? Because if they say something that can be taken the wrong way, it will be taken the wrong way, and it'll blow up and be all over the place. Not talking to journalists is a 0. Nothing gained, nothing lost. They see their colleagues getting lambasted by the…
Powerful, but untrue. Second hand smoke might aggravate asthma or allergies, but it doesn't do much else.
The misinformation and lies in anti-smoking ads are insane. I wish they would just stick with the truth: Smoking greatly increases your risk of heart disease, cancer, and numerous other ailments while significantly reducing your life expectancy. Also, you're paying to do this.
The CBS theme is repetitive garbage. All the other ones are fine. CBS drives me up a wall.
Buttons, switches, and knobs are infinitely better than touchscreens. As long as the controllers have buttons, I'm fine with them going away on the consoles.
Dashes of Shinto and Buddhism get thrown into games because those are the predominant religions of Japan. It's less likely that you'll see Christian imagery in a game coming out of the US, but it is definitely there for the same reason. As pointed out by an article here a few days ago, Judaism is rarely included in…
There's plenty of IAP games that are playable without ever buying anything. Candy Crush, Puzzles & Dragons, etc.
The only time we really hear about the hobbies of athletes is if they're big namers. Nate Irving isn't exactly on the Peyton Manning level of fame, so we don't really hear about his hobbies. Even if, say, Colin Kaepernick was quietly a Final Fantasy fan, we probably wouldn't hear about it on Sportscenter.
I would assume that his colleagues aren't avid Kotaku readers.
It is weird that team sports and video games don't usually have much crossover.
Stole my idea, which is buried in the gray.
When did Michael Olowokandi change his name to Royce White?
Playoffs drive ratings. It's an America thing. Foreign sports usually have a regular season OR playoffs, not both.
I know this is America and we're obsessed with throwing out the results from the regular season in favor of a winner-takes-all playoff system...but really NASCAR? Stick with the European model. Pick a number of races, assign points based on whatever the hell you want, and give the trophy to the racer with the most…
At a certain point, it becomes too complex to include in a game where the main focus is not relationships. No matter what you do, you're going to upset or offend someone. It's a lose-lose.
Why does every niche belief or lifestyle need representation in video games? I've never heard of Zoroastrianism being touched on in video games, but it's a religion of hundreds of thousands. There's just too many options. Major video games couldn't possibly represent all of them, even if they tried.
