Maybe this is too obvious, but the first time I read the Red Wedding it knocked the wind out of me. Ah. My confusion arose from not considering Eli Vance the main character, but instead Gordan Freeman. The first Dragon Warrior on NES, Final Fantasy 3(6) on SNES, and Mario 3 probably got the most play, and left the biggest mark. But also the first Mario Kart, Sonic, Paperboy, Warsong, and Shining Force 2.
