I don’t think his argument is that Kap simply isn’t good enough; it’s that he isn’t good to enough to warrant the additional media circus he brings with him. At the end of the day, the NFL is a business not a publicly owned agency or non-profit. They want to make money, and Kap has proven bad for business. Also, most

The conclusion of the study says that among participants with an unfavorable view of Trump, the opposite effect was observed. So, showing a picture of a black man vs. a white man actually shifted the support for public housing in the positive direction.... so if the premise is that Trump supporters are racist because

Calories in > Calories burned = weight gain. Everyone wants to get nuanced about it to avoid the reality, but it’s simple, if you take in more energy than your body burns you will add body fat. Most Americans eat way too much in a given day.

Great story, it’s refreshing to see a story about police officers having a positive impact.

I’m picking up on your sarcasm

I’m not a Kid Rock fan but I’m kind of surprised by the reaction here; hasn’t he donated substantial time and money to the city of Detroit? I think he received some type of award from the NAACP in Detroit as well.

I can’t say I agree with everything in the latter part of your post, but it is an Interesting perspective, and a lot to digest, thank you for the thoughtful response. No sarcasm, I appreciate it.

Wasn’t familiar with syllogism until I looked it up just now, you’re right, it better explains my point. Many thanks :)

That’s a grim view of the “average white person”. If I see something as racist, I’ll call it out, I just don’t think that’s the case here.

You’re assuming it’s “clearly racist” which is a subjective opinion, not an empirical fact. I was using it as an example of how two things can look related while one doesn’t cause the other.... which is what the terminology refers to.

Agreed, if it was in fact a policy directive and not an executive order, I stand corrected. I think the premise of the point is still valid, it isn’t a law passed by congress and can be easily changed by an incoming administration.

Totally valid.

I suppose our idea of trolling is different. I notice you didn’t answer my question though, about why engage with me if I’m a troll. It’s not an abundance of time I possess, it’s an aptitude for multitasking..... and I type fast.

I totally agree on the GOP not being able to get anything done. After complaining for years too; totally inexcusable.

Statistical methods are used all the time in Political Science. When trying to measure the impact of policies there are usually a ton of variables to consider, trying to identify the actual causal links isn’t always easy. I don’t endorse racism, nor is my argument racist. Saying something isn’t racist, doesn’t

It is a program initiated by the executive branch of government under the Obama administration. Am I wrong? I didn’t think congress passed a bill and formed a law regarding DACA.

Not an overly relevant response, I don’t support voter suppression.

I think the primary difference between us on this issue is that I’m focusing on the fact that the people impacted are illegal (emphasis on illegal) immigrants, and you on the fact that they are POC’s. I think the fact that most illegals here have brown skin is not the driving factor behind a push for immigration

“And now it’s America headed by American Hitler.”

That’s not really an answer though, you didn’t name any policies he proposed comparable to the atrocities committed by the Nazis. Also, what about me qualifies as “elitist”?
