Aw, I wrecked my 74 Ghia Coupe when I was 16 too. *sniff*

That meant over 400 miles between fill-ups. At 60 mph, that’s over 6 hours between fuel/bathroom stops!

Well heck, wish I’d seen this before now.

That “bad guy” in the Ferrari looked familiar...

I guess I think of using power-on oversteer to your advantage to get around a tight corner as something different than what we now know as drifting (going in sideways in a cloud of tire smoke).

Yeah.... That site has an “advertisement” telling me to click to upgrade my Flash to version 15, which is just some strange 3rd party software.

According to reports of the era, Oldfield was actually much faster because Winton would brake into the corners but Oldfield was a motorcycle racer and he realized he could just “drift” the car on the corner and carry more speed through. You’ll see this in rally racing, too.

And I'm watching the show currently, eating my words as I watch the Indy 500 section...

Interesting show so far.

I almost bought a real one last fall, It was just a little too big a project for apartment living. The sliding rear roof and rear tailgate with the window that rolls down was awesome.

Show of hands - whose father/grandfather gave them extra money if they did a good job scrubbing the whitewalls?
