I listened to the Ringer’s podcast who compared Shiv’s “keep him on a string” with Tom to learning from Lukas. I see it more as what Logan would do with the kids and it is pretty sad (but typical) to see that cyclical familial pattern.

Not a great episode. The retread “mismatched couple”, the same season reprise of LfT and the dog skit that was funny until you’re trying to force a puppy into objects. Yes, I had recently rewatched the skit with Jennifer Lopez and Mikey Day winning a home makeover with the exact same premise and Kennan being the main person questioning their relationship.  Very lazy.

I hope the main reason to bring Pete back is to get another Mulaney Broadway sketch.  Although, I suppose Pete isn’t any more integral to those sketches than Chris Redd.

I am not a Molly Shannon fan.  I don’t think any of her “hit characters” were funny.  I will say that I did enjoy her on Showtime’s “I Love That for You”.
