Obviously this is a horribly disappointing decision. Is there any indication as to how many "closely-held corporations" would/will go through the steps of denying their female employees birth control coverage? I am just curious as to how widely the implications of this SCOTUS ruling could be felt.

I live about a block away from a Planned Parenthood in a conservative, midwest city. (Town? City?) Every morning and afternoon as I drive past on the way to/from work, I note a number of "protesters," always women, standing silently and reading and/or praying from bibles and holding rosaries.

I actually think that comparing Gary Oldman to Jonah Hill in this context is very misplaced. Hill said something awful, surely, but it was outside of the context of an interview with a reporter and the understanding that anything he said would be published.

Not to take any shine away from Jenny Slate, whom I adore, but I am of the opinion that any woman that doesn't say that she is a feminist doesn't understand the term.

I'm not sure how I was able to block the scene out as a child, but my husband and I watched The Lion King on ABC Family about a year ago and during the scene where Mufasa dies and Simba is all, "Dad?" I fell into an absurd depression and ugly cried for about an hour. So. Yeah. Lion Hamlet makes me feel.

The polenta story is great, relatively understandable (they do sound similar!), and totally believable, if only because if I were the wife, my head would be in my hands and I, too, would have just asked the server to walk away.

The funny thing is, Mean Girls isn't even really about cool kids vs. nerds. It's about mean girls vs. everyone.

Literally everyone except for you, apparently! :) The only thing you can put on a bagel to necessitate NOT eating it open faced is whitefish salad.

The Reuben is a solid #1 entry, but having the Thanksgiving sandwich down at #27 is an affront to all that is good and decent in this world. (Also, bagel with lox and cream cheese is not a sandwich because no self-respecting Jew/New Yorker/whatever wouldn't eat their bagel open-faced.)

We did a joint parent/child dance at our wedding (father/daughter and mother/son) and we chose "How Sweet it Is" by James Taylor. It's cute and kind of upbeat and definitely not too sappy!

I am having a (good, weepy) breakdown right now at the realization that Reading Rainbow taught me to love reading and now it could do the same for my children.

I generally think Tina Fey and Jason Bateman can do no wrong, but this does not look anywhere near as good as the book and Fey is terribly miscast as Wendy. :(

I think the character is definitely supposed to be a Republican. Unclear on Mindy IRL, though.
