My brother and I had a dude sitter growing up. We all played Nintendo. It was cool.

Oh, well thank you! I am always overly emotional, so perhaps that's how I end up writing these comments in the first place. :)
Aw, thank you. I have a lot of feelings today.
When children, teens and young adults do amazing things, I always think, "Wow. There is hope for the future." And when people from older generations, like Retired U.S. Army Col. Johnson, do amazing things, I always think, "I guess there was hope for us all along."
This woman is a monster who absolutely did not get what she deserved.
Hero. Being a grown up is lame.
Mark, I am chaperoning a sorority formal RIGHT NOW. Please help me feel young again.
"Farming Accident" is not a good enough way to describe how Jason London dies in "Man in the Moon". Also - you forgot to mention their dad, played by Sam Waterston!
I got into a number of verbal spats regarding my wedding with people from my husband's side who referred to it as a "destination wedding". It just so happened that I'm from South Florida and he's from New Jersey, so anyone from his parents' side was going to have to fly. That doesn't make it a DESTINATION. It just…
I have literally never heard my father once say that he had "a great day at the office." But I've also never heard my dad try to explain why there wasn't food on the table. So, I'd consider that a successful career.

They were all very nice and asked my date things about himself and offered him a soda, etc. But my date ended up being way more nervous about curfew than I…
Red state liberals unite! :)
Thank you! We've found everyone here to be very welcoming and friendly so far, but I definitely feel like there's something about us that they just don't "get". So, I hope I can act as an educator, as you alluded to. :)
!!!
My husband and I are hosting our first seder after moving to the Bible Belt and away from our families. It will be a very bittersweet Pesach for us, but I will happily eat a Hillel sandwich in your honor! Sorry you have to miss your favorite holiday. :( It's mine, too.
