I hope she wins her complaint. I only have so much energy to contemplate why someone black would want to work there in any capacity, so I’ll leave it alone. Please folks, (certain men in particular) don’t lean in on the misogynoir, here.

Perhaps it was the only job offer she had at that point in her life. And as with most jobs, perhaps she tolerated it at best because she had to put food on the table.
So, first, it’s a state job. Good benefits, possibly even a real pension.
Probably one of those “I need a job any job” situations... but Jesus 12 years...
When one person maintained that secession was only about preserving states’ rights — a view that had long been taught to southerners as the root cause of the Civil War instead of slavery
Her decision to work at a place like that is kinda baffling. I’d be more surprised if a museum dedicated to the Confederacy didn’t discriminate.
The comment today was that she and her family were considering suing Gorilla Glue because while it says not to put on skin, mouth, or eyes, it does not specifically say not to put it on your hair.
It bothers me on a visceral level that this person is entrusted with teaching other people anything. I looked it up and she owns a daycare center.
Self-proclaimed teacher? I refuse to believe a legitimate, licensed teacher would be this dumb.
A 40 year old teacher did this ya’ll.
I feel sorry for her, but when the fuck are we gonna stop rewarding stupid people for stupid shit?
I’m on a team bald for this one. This is getting way too much attn for stupid shit. This is starting to get Darwin level award winning stuff.
I really hope so. I hope she doesn’t need skin grafts or something, which would probably mean no more proper follicles. All in all, I think we can be excused for an errant giggle here and there when this first came about. But knowing just how serious and likely life changing this is going to be for her... it’s just…
Certainly in the short term, hopefully the surgeon can help her avoid permanent damage and she comes through this with no worse after effects than forever being known as the reason Gorilla Glue also says “do not apply to scalp” on their products.
The hair is a lost cause. Always was. I’d be more concerned about not losing my scalp.
Bald is beautiful. Also, (likely) inevitable.
This again? I thought the consensus was that the Dems really meant $2000 total all along, and that the first $600 was always meant to be part of the deal so the $1400 checks being promised now add up to $2000. And when people asked why they didn’t just say that all along, they were told not to complain because somethin…
Platinum Plan sounds like something that’s in a pyramid scheme lol
Uh sir, that’s Lil Pimp. lol
As you rightly note, Trump and his cronies naming this the Platinum Plan gives you all that you need to know about how serious this program ever was. It worked for what it was intended to do though with idiots like Ice Cube, 50 Cent, and whoever Lil Pump is jumping in line to dance for it.
