This is very helpful. I remember now at least one other issue with this method of creating email aliases by adding a “+” and other characters. At least one unsubscribe page of a website would not accept “+” as valid character in the email address in order to unsubscribe from their newsletter/advertising.

There is one unfortunate downside about this trick - you can only receive, not send emails from these modified email addresses.
