My biggest issue with TLJ was that it makes Episode 7 obsolete. Everything that Ep 7 sets up is taken down. If you watch the OG trilogy, while directed by different people, coherently they all still fell like they are the same trilogy. TLJ was so “different” from Ep 7, that it feels awkward. Great choreography?!?!?! It's worse than the dark Knight. Every guy not currently engaging Rey or kylo is doing pirouettes in the background fighting invisible enemies. It's comedically bad fight choreography.

Still think the problem here is that JJ made the movie he made, then he and Kathleen Kennedy pass the baton to Johnson and by all accounts tell him it’s up to him to figure out what he wants to do with it, what comes next, etc. (And we know setting up stuff without even the vaguest idea of where it’s going is JJ’s MO…

I’m more tired of the people, like this Scott Wampler person, trying to make a “controversy”out of the crew being asked questions about a film during a press tour and responding with something resembling an actual opinion.

Apart from the throne room fight scene it was a huge disappointment to me.  Hopefully JJ can end it all on a high.

I have the eye-rolling, yet unsettling feeling we’re going to see old footage of Leia on the bridge of a transport ship or operations center, turning toward the view screen and then ‘becomes one with the force’. Hey, if it can get fans of TLJ to stop throwing anyone who had a problem with the movie on the “They hate women/minorities/etc.” bus and actually have a dialogue about the serious issues with this film, I’m on board.  

I’m just hoping that someone had the presence of mind to destroy all the archival storyboards of return of the jedi before they could steal them for star wars episode ix: return of the return of the jedi. I hope there aren’t any space scenes, they’ve lost space scene privileges after the travesty that was Star Wars…
