I’m curious as to what Carolla’s listenership is these days. I used to listen religiously, but stopped once his weird brand of libertarianism started becoming more present. Did he gradually move to the right, or did he just get more comfortable in expressing his garbage views?

It’s been a real bummer watching Carolla slide from a quick-witted wiseacre to a conservative stooge. I was on board from Loveline through to his podcast, but bailed out a few years ago when it became clear that his at one time encouraging “pick yourself up by your bootstraps” ethos was devolving into curmudgeonly…

I agree. When I heard Charlie Kaufman was adapting it, I figured it must be great and weird so I read it. It was so average that I don’t know how he managed to select it. Knowing Kaufman, though, he’ll probably do something totally unexpected with the source material.

How about a Predator movie that is an anthology of loosely connected chapters, taking place in chronological order showing Predators hunting people in different periods. 17th century pirates, the Civil War, the 1950s, the present day, and the future.
