I’m willing to believe that Bluesky is awesome (regardless of it being run by... Jack Dorsey...) but I signed up to the waiting list four months or so ago, and since then I didn’t even receive an automated “we received your registration” email, let alone an actual invitation. So.

Helpfully, there are courses in j-school about this exact issue! It’s not enormously controversial, except in some areas, to expect facts as a part of reportage.

It’s the perfect “enrage to engage” reporting technique. Go on Twitter, find people angry about something (everyone on Twitter is angry about something at all times, I guess they find it fun), and report on it. Then you get three responses:

Yeah I think the real story here is not those maniacs who are trying to play a game like Metal Gear with a mouse & keyboard - though I want to say to those maniacs that I support their right to torture themselves like that - but it does make me wonder exactly how Konami is bringing this game to PC and modern consoles.
