It looks like Marvel Studios’ plans [...] are solidifying behind the scenes… or they’re undergoing even more upheaval and are less solid than ever before.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Marvels. It was fun and just silly enough to not be stupid.

Go look her up, she’s easy to find on the internet. Maybe she IS writing about it. Or just ask her what she thought. She’s really easy going...

Two of my favorite things:

“I gave away ALL my MONEY?!!!”

So the takeway is that Disney should ramp up the spectacle and downgrade the characters and the story components?

I love how they addressed Donna’s lottery ticket.

Especially how once she gets her full memories back the first thing she does is get PISSED at the Doctor because she gave all her money away due to subconsciously wanting to be selfless like him.

The DoctorDonna duo is one of my favorite pairings and not a beat was

Watching “The Star Beast,” I was reminded of something I wrote in a comment on this site, many years ago:

I loved it. All of it. Even the nonsensical parts because it’s Dr Who and who gives a damn. And watching Tennant RUN through that gigantic Tardis set with such joy was just amazing. It was like someone said, “We need to show the audience this isn’t all CGI and David said ‘Watch me laugh and run...’”

The scene where they enter the new TARDIS just has such a lovely sweeping energy. It’s like a kid running into a chocolate factory.

I found it difficult to stay awake, even though it was barely 9 p.m.

This is a hilarious instance to get upset about what you’re claiming though. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is already a deliberate attack on the straight white male protagonist. Scott Pilgrim is not a likable character (that was a big part of why I had mixed feelings about the movie). The point is that he’s a selfish

It literally is an adaptation. Adaptation doesn’t mean “exactly the same thing as the source.”

People incapable of character growth hate character growth.

I’ve had people with all sincerity tell me the original Star Wars and Star Trek were never political. People see what they want to see.

I once had a right-wing “anti-sjw” guy give me Robocop as his example of movie that is non-political.

You can’t spell “Don’t create the Torment Nexus!” without “Create the Torment Nexus!”

Just need Big Finish to pull a Colin Baker with her and let her crush a few audio plays.

A great Doctor let down by a mediocre showrunner.
