My reaction wasn’t to the work-for-hire, but to management going to the effort of printing and hanging up signs to constantly remind workers that they don’t own the product of their labor. If you put that in a movie people would call it lazy propaganda.

According to Netflix, Ed is in the show, but possibly not in the first season. Which makes sense since in the original show she didn’t appear until episode 9 out of 26.

At least we’ve moved on from the previous decade’s insistence on making every adult cartoon look like Family Guy. Given those options I’ll take Normal Pupil Rick and Morty in a heartbeat.

Another female character who clearly is a fuckup appears 11 seconds into the trailer. Did you really not make it that long.

But he also wrote “Midnight” and “The Waters of Mars,” so there’s as much hit here as there is miss. So it could really go either way.

Kill the Moon is a mess, but I can forgive it since Peter Capaldi has the power to elevate any script he’s involved in. And in the following seasons we got some all-time masterpieces like Hell Bent and The Doctor Falls. Moffatt just took way, way too long to figure out his groove on the show, but it was worth it in

....which is ALSO something people said when Davies left, and when Moffatt left.

One of the very few good moments in the otherwise terrible Dark Knight Strikes Again is when Question shows up and he’s clearly just being written as a parody of Steve Ditko himself. And then he and the famously leftist Green Arrow get in an argument.

What’s really fucked up is that he said that to the guy who was animating Bambi’s mom dying.

“I’m a writer too and every place I’ve worked had me sign something that said, “What you write for us belongs to us.””

Hurry up and see Dear Evan Hansen NOW before Evan dies of old age.

There are plenty of GOOD musical films out there. You don’t have to simp for the bad ones.

We are currently in Stage 2 of an internet outrage cycle. That’s the one where the Internet Cool Kids come out and lecture everyone about how we’re not allowed to have opinions about The Thing That is Happening, because caring about things is lame and for squares, and also, Something Something Cancel Culture. The

No one is apolitical. “I don’t care about politics” is a political statement, because politics affects everyone, but choosing to ignore sends the message that you think you won’t be affected. And since Pratt is a famous multi-millionaire, he’s probably right. But for the rest of us, it can be a bit frustrating to hear

Danny Devito.

Also animated movies pretty much always go for big name stars over experienced/trained voice actors.”

He’s no different than Ryan Reynolds. Why do people hate Pratt and not Reynolds when both are oversaturating the market?”

Peter Quill, Andy Dwyer, and Emmit the Lego Guy are basically the same character. Which is kind of the problem, Pratt is one of those actors who is only good at playing one type of character. Anytime he tries something else, it feels forces. Mario really doesn’t fit that archetype, which means Pratt will either have

Having to lean so hard on star power gives the impression that they don’t have confidence in the brand or the movie itself. Mario is one of the most successful media franchises in history. In terms of overall grosses it’s on the same level as Star Wars and Marvel. It doesn’t need random celebrity voices to prop it up.
