@Brian: LMK if the bomb squad is hiring :)

In 1973, I believe you could get a Porshce 911RS. How could I go with anything else?

Nice dubs. My cousin had a sweet squareback, but got killed in it by a drunk. Not much armor there compared to a full size redneck pickup.

@Ben Wojdyla: Hey, you've just got your preferences. If I could ever afford an R8, I wouldn't care about winning races with it. I just like to dance with a good partner, not an arcade game ;)

@Ben Wojdyla: To me, it doesn't matter how well it works, I just like a clutch, and therefore a clutch pedal. I like to be able to downshift 2 gears if I want, with the requisite challenge of revmatching to keep my weight transfer in check. It's all part of the fun. But that's just me.

@Psiu! Puxa!: You're right, Mopar or no car!: @A.Jaswal: Some european engines make gobs of torque. Some Audi engines do, in other applications. Just depends on how they are making power, and what for. Rs6 has plenty of torques. Too many, in fact, not to have a stickshift, IMO. Do some wikipedia'n.

@modisch: Whatthefuckever. Bruce Dickenson is not to be trifled with!

@akomp10: Did you read the article before posting? Tsk, tsk...

Wouldn't a simple 6 speed be even lighter? Hello?

@86LX5.0: How to find people to use your sex swing with:

Some of my best worst automotive memories are the branding scars from the chrome accents on the black vinyl seat covers in a 1971 Plymouth Scamp. The belt buckles had more mass, and would hold solar heat even longer...

@kleinlowe: Damn, I shoulda RTFA before posting above ^

@BlueBomb: I knew that Lieberman guy was a fucking commie!

OMG thanks for the tip. I'm going to immediately try this on my AWD Talon turbo. It should work the same way, right? ;)

Best wheels ever.

Torque convertor FTL!

They could have had a V8... Too bad they never made one. That could have been a better option than farming out the DOHC LT5.
