It’s like metamorphosis - ugly car goes in, better-looking car comes out.

With all the modern mechanical upgrades from the body-off restoration, and given its uniqueness and scarcity, this juuuuust edges my vote into NP territory. It’s the right car and right price for someone who wants to stand out at Cars and Coffee.

Spinning Doritos had a good run. Thank you Chang’an Mazda for the name update.

100% CP for any car, any price, that’s two halves of a car welded together by anyone except the manufacturer themselves. Even the slightest error on a mechanical or metallurgic scale compromises the crash structure, and I’d rather not become an automotive panini when Susan gets distracted by an iMessage and runs the

2nd Gear: I see USA Today’s hiring of Captain Obvious is paying dividends already.

Yep - insurers are way more keen on paying out book value for a totaled car once than that plus someone’s stay in the ICU, multiple surgeries, a year of physical therapy, lost wages, lawyer fees...

It’s a conservative estimate. My personal premiums are about $800/month:

Not quite - what they’re saying is UAW employees pay 3 to 4 percent of their total healthcare premiums with the automakers picking up the remaining 96-97%. So if healthcare premiums are $500 per month for a typical worker, a UAW member pays about $20 per month for healthcare coverage while the average US worker pays $1

I’m fascinated by his videos. Namely in that they’ve been steadily, consistently getting worse over time with no obvious or singular fall from grace. It’s kind of impressive.

If someone had told me five years ago that Mazda may be the biggest competing threat to Tesla’s then-forthcoming Model 3, I would’ve laughed until I collapsed.

I’m pretty sure I played against somebody with this car in Rocket League last night.

The perfect place to get your XBone going.

Five years ago I wanted a Tesla. Five years of seeing how the typical Tesla fan conducts themselves later...I’ll be buying a Chevy Bolt.

Explains why they’re all so neglected out on the road. If they can barely afford the payments they definitely aren’t keeping up with the minimum, much less recommended, maintenance

Holy crap, it starts at only 29k or so and tops out fully loaded well short of 40? I thought it was easily another 10k above all around.

I guarantee you I wouldn’t think any less of Tom Brady based on what car he drives. It’s impossible to despise him any more than I already do.

Overconsumption of Polteageist may result in Muk.

I never understood the need to keep up appearances when you have a job that does all the appearances for you. Who cares what car you drive? You’re licensed to pilot a motherfucking JET. Keep your cash and come up with some great retorts for the ribbing that the superficial tech bros and venture cap babies feel they

Indeed, whether food’s going to be eaten in a car is a factor in deciding what car to buy, period. I can count the number of times I’ve eaten in my car in four years of ownership on one hand, and my passengers don’t get that luxury.
