I’m with you. I feel sorry for people who can’t just sit and let a movie entertain them. They don’t suspend their disbelief, and always try to guess where the plot is going to go, and then complain that the movie wasn’t that good.

There was totally a 2112 poster on the wall in Halliday’s room at the end of the movie.
Apparently its a bad take, but i enjoyed the movie. Its especially entertaining with a solid subwoofer in a home theater setup. Its not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn’t need to be. It didn’t “change my life”, but it kept me entertained for its whole run time.
This is wrong. The thing everyone is forgetting is that when people died in game, they lost everything in game. There is a scene where a guy dies in game, and then immediately tried to commit suicide because he lost it all.
That’s exactly how the book felt to me, so it sounds like the movie stuck really well to the source material.
Lol. “whiny incel fuckboi” describes someone we all know.
The only reason I wanted to see this movie was because there were two iterations of Bigfoot in the first race
I hated that too, but I assumed it was to make the movie accessible to all, not just gamers.
I need to be honest, I liked the entire movie, and that racing “secret” was my only problem with it.
No problem with your writing or the content - I like it.
I hope Tracy and Torch land at the same place, because they are the only two decent writers on here.
I’ll be honest, the people leaving Jalopnik didn’t bother me too much because there are still some decent writers left and I honestly just pop in as a fairly mindless distraction from work. Had no real plans to change that and couldn’t really give a hoot about Spanefeller or hulk Hogan or whatever other garbage goes…
please dear god no.
Hey man, I’m just playing the cards I’ve been dealt.
The Technic figure wants to punch you in the face and bang your sister.
“Um, yeah, that’s not a 1996 Corvette interior, friends.”
Some will never be one in a million, so they settle for one in twenty eight.
What the actual hell Emslie, where do you conjure these Frank-n-Projects from?
Why the hell are you even commenting this here?
It’s been around since 1962, which I say in the post. And no, I don’t have cable.
