He didn’t even read the fucking article. There’s no way you’ll convince him.

Everyone now thinks their old short beds have doubled in value in the last couple years. Keep dreaming.

You completely missed the point I was making by using your own assumptions. Never did I say that multi-speed gearboxes were needed. And yes, they could help. Rimac uses two speed gearboxes in their cars because it provides them an advantage of higher speed. Never did I say that economy cars should have them. A

Well I already answered that question:

No need to be snarky. Here’s an example for you: The model S gearbox is one speed. This works just fine since the motor has a large torque efficiency window. The top speed is limited by the motor reaching peak rpms. If a second gear is added, you could have a larger speed range. Never did I say it was needed or

First of all, please explain to me how multiple gears could hurt. I’m curious to hear what your reasoning is. And please don’t say “added complexity or something else to break”.

Thank you. Everyone in this thread seems to have drank the Kool-aid.

A thermocouple is just a device to measure temperature. If you covered your exhaust system with them, you’d have some excellent temperature data, but no energy transfer. I believe you might be thinking of a thermoelectric generator to fit your idea. https://phys.org/news/2018-07-electrical-power.html

You know that’s not what thermocouples do, right?

Fucking what?

I’ll take the coupe, please.

Well that sounds lonely

Honestly that makes it more appealing. People see this car and think it’s some fancy exotic. I’d rather have a car that stands out.

As the owner of a manual 392, I agree it can be a chore. It’s not a slick shifting transmission by any means. For a daily, the auto would be pretty appealing.

It had a tiny refresh in 2011 and a more obvious refresh in 2015. It’s approaching the end of it’s cycle and will be updated soon. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

I have experience and knowledge, and I calculated the trajectory

Are there really air marshals on every single flight?

What misery? They’re doing great right now.

Here’s my old buggy if anyone was curious

Never a car but I jumped my dune buggy all the time. I had eliminated the torsion springs on the front and rear and installed Fox air shocks (think mountain bike front suspension) in their place. This made the landings super cushy.
